The New Terminal One at JFK Announces RFP for Facility Maintenance Services

JAMAICA, N.Y., March 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The New Terminal One at JFK, an all-international terminal scheduled to open in 2026, is announcing the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a world-class service facility maintenance service provider.

The New Terminal One is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's $19 billion transformation of JFK Airport into a world-class gateway, which will include two new terminals, the modernization and expansion of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and an entirely new, simplified roadway network.

The selected facility maintenance services provider will supply staffing, materials, supplies, and equipment for operation; maintain buildings, structures, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, public spaces, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment); as well as support seasonal transitions to maintain operational efficiency.

"At the New Terminal One, ensuring exceptional facility maintenance is a key part of our commitment to deliver a world-class experience for our guests," said Marisa Von Wieding, Vice President of Operations. "We're excited to partner with a provider who shares our vision of setting new standards for airport operations and ensuring our facilities are always at their best."

Aligned with the New Terminal One and the Port Authority's commitment to diversity and creating economic opportunities in the local community, the developer strongly encourages local, minority, women and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses to participate in the RFP. All participants in the RFP must submit diversity participation plans detailing their strategy to achieve the New Terminal One's goals of 30% MWBE and 10% LBE participation.

Interested participants may contact [email protected] for further information on how to take part in the RFP. Proposals are due by May 7, 2025.

Additionally, The New Terminal One is holding a virtual outreach event and information session for potential vendors on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, answering questions related to this RFP. More information can be found here.
