The Award-winning Terminal B

The opening of LaGuardia Airport's new $4 billion Terminal B in 2022, led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP)—the private entity responsible for managing and developing the terminal—marked a major milestone in the airport's transformation. The 1.3-million-square-foot terminal replaced the former outdated and cramped facility with a spacious, modern one that meets the demands of today’s travelers. Terminal B’s unique design features two island concourses connected by dual pedestrian bridges that span active aircraft taxi lanes—making LaGuardia the first airport in the world with such a configuration.

The terminal's centerpiece is an 850,000-square-foot arrivals and departures hall flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and soaring ceilings. Departing passengers benefit from four check-in islands and numerous kiosks that expedite the journey to security, where state-of-the-art technology enhances screening while prioritizing safety. The terminal offers best-in-class retail, vast dining experiences, stunning art and amenities, and a water feature that is unique to any airport in the world. From curb to gate, customers enjoy a world-class 21st century travel experience.
